Blessings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi ,

        The Divine Grace of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi led us to plan a home for terminally ill cancer patients (cancer Hospice).BhagavanSri RamanaHospice is a home of compassionate care and complete support for terminally ill cancer patients. The hospice will provide pain medicines, nursing care,in patient care, home care, spiritual support,complementary therapies and bereavement care. The hospice is a 30 bed in-patient facility. The hospice will be established in Kanniyakumari  District. This  project is proposed by Sreeram cancer Trust.

What  is a Hospice ?

         A Hospice offers  care for pain relief and symptomatic management for patients nearing end of life . These symptoms can be physical, emotional or psycho-social.

Hospice care focuses on providing comfort,dignity, peace and a better quality of life.It helps them to live as actively as they can to the end of their lives, however long that may be. It not only takes care of people’s physical needs, but looks after their emotional, spiritual and social needs as well. Hospice care also supports care givers , family members and close friends, both during a person’s illness and during bereavement.

Why this Hospice ?

         Hospices are very rare in India,  only 16  states have palliative care services (data as on 2017) Many states in India have absolutely no medical facilities that can prescribe the morphine that is needed  for the treatment of severe pain. Every human being has a right to die with dignity and minimal distress. In India, cancer patients cannot achieve this.               
        Bhagavan Sri Ramana Hospice project is proposed by  Sreeram cancer trust. Sreeram Cancer Trust is a registered public charitable trust, Recognized Medical Institution , working in the field of cancer care since 2007, in Kanniyakumari ,INDIA.

 

Objectives of the new hospice project

 

1.        1.   The main objective is to establish a 30  bedded charitable hospice in the name

      “Bhagavan Sri RamanaMaharshi ”

2.     2. To provide In- patient facility

3.          3.  Home care services.

4.          4. Training programs for health care professionals.

An appeal to Devotees

 To purchase a land for Bhagavan Sri Ramana Hospice

 

        The budgeted cost of this project including purchase of land , civil construction and all furniture is Rs.6,35,00,000. By the grace of Sri Bhagavan , many philanthropists and companies are coming forward to support this project. Above all the first step is purchase of land and Bhoomipooja. 

        It requires Rs.85 Lakhs to purchase the land for Bhagavan Sri Ramana Hospice. Once the land is registered in the name of the trust , we can move to the next steps . we wish this first step could  start from the devotees of  Bhagavan Sri Ramana.

        Lakhs and lakhs of poor cancer patients are going to get benefit through this project So, Donate generously.

 

For all contributions the donor would be entitled to claim deduction under Section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.
